We are very excited to announce that today marks the launch of our biggest ever nurse recruitment campaign.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice urgently needs passionate and highly-skilled paediatric nurses to join the team providing expert and compassionate palliative care for children who are seriously unwell.
You also need to be really good at pulling funny faces, and not mind spending an hour or so in a ball pit.
This campaign seeks to address the urgent need for more nurses to care for children who are seriously unwell in north London and Herts Valley. With 60% of nurses saying they are too busy to provide the level of care that they want, Noah’s Ark show a different side to the career by shining a light on the unique aspect of children’s hospice nursing.
Paediatric palliative care is so much more than just clinical and end-of-life care. Our nurses have the time to really get to know babies, children and young people – helping them to enjoy life as children, rather than as patients. And the impact Noah’s Ark’s nurses can have on a child’s life extends to the whole family.
Through this campaign, we wanted to highlight those little moments that mean so much at Noah’s Ark – from picnics in the nature reserve, to playing football in our accessible playground and playing hide and seek!
For nurses looking to apply, palliative care is welcomed, but not essential. Our team is supportive and inclusive and will provide extensive training for those joining the team. We provide care both in the community and in our stunning new building, The Ark. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in applying please visit our nurse careers page.
“Many people imagine children’s hospice care is all about supporting children in their final days. In reality, our nurses spend most of their time helping children to have fun and make the most of every day of their lives. We’re looking for paediatric nurses of all levels of experience who want to spend more time with the children they look after, supporting them throughout their journeys and helping families make memories that last a lifetime.”
Hayley Manley, Noah’s Ark’s Director of Care
